The Real Tax Guy

Plan Ahead. Keep More of What You Earn.

Tax strategy isn't something you do after the year is over. It's what you do before it.

The worst time to start thinking about your tax strategy is after the year is over. Once January rolls around, a lot of the decisions you could have made to change your 2026 tax situation are already behind you.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm happy to pay my taxes, but I'm like you, I just don't want to pay a penny more than I have to. That's what tax strategy is about. It's not about doing something crazy or trying to avoid paying taxes. It's about understanding where your business is today, knowing what opportunities are available to you, and making the right decisions before the tax year is over.

But the strategy for a business making less than $40,000 in profit isn't going to be the same as the strategy for a business making $150,000 or $500,000, so I have split up my tax strategies into small, mid-size, and large businesses. That way, you don't need to spend more on tax strategy than your business requires. Start with the video that fits where you are today and see where you should start.
